best value July 22, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
like most other reviews, it's the best 90 bucks to spend on a watch. the price of a fossil at jc penny for a fantastic look. automatic movement and a nice case. most importantly, keeps an accurate time.
again, it's a 90 dollar watch. not as heavy as a real "swiss" automatic. just don't expect to get a $1000 bling out of it.
so if you want a presentable watch but don't want to spend too much... ...this is it. if it looks good, buy it. the worse case is to return it to amazon.
Luxury looks at a very cheap price July 21, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was looking at buying my first "nice" watch when I stumbled onto the Invicta 8926. I thought I'd take a chance on a $100 watch before dropping a few thousand dollars on luxury watch from Breitling, Omega, Tag, or Rolex.
I was pretty impressed with the Invicta out of the box. It "borrows" design elements from the Rolex Submariner and the Omega Seamaster lines. Looks like an expensive watch - solid materials / put together well. Similar to Seamaster or Submariner watches, it looks great with jeans at a BBQ or with a suit at the office (Seamaster is the James Bond watch). It has a Japanese movement instead of a Swiss movement, but it is still an automatic.
I haven't had any problems with the watch. Gains a few seconds a day but not out of the range of the more expensive brands I was considering. Some of the other reviews here have reported gains or losses of 20 seconds a day so it may be luck of the draw. Stays wound for good amount of time. I haven't had to wind it since I got it. Wear it most days but sometimes don't wear it on a Saturday. Has a nice lume but not the level expected from a $3,000 watch.
Overall, a very nice watch for the price. If you will be annoyed by sneers from the Rolex/Omega crowd or you want to impress with the brand name on your wrist, you might want to save up. If you just want a quality watch, you've found it.
Excellent Value... July 14, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have had this watch for just about two weeks. Overall as many others have stated the value of this timepiece is well above what you pay.
Is it a Rolex or a TAG no, but it does look good, keeps decent time and people comment asking if it is a more expensive watch...
The primary thing for me is that I do not constantly have to fret over whether I should wear it or not. I wear it everywhere and worst case I have only destroyed or lost $100.
Great Watch and Great Value July 11, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this watch about 2 weeks ago and it's my first automatic. I love it. It has been keeping time really well in spite of reviews I've read about it gaining or losing time.
I do wear it all the time so maybe that helps it keep time.
wow...wonderful watch.... July 11, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
After doing lot of online research I ordered 3 different Invicta watches (8926 and 8939 - for my colleague's parents 8932-for me). and this was the first to arrive. beleive me this is an awesome watch for the price we are paying for.
cons: watch is really big and will not suit for the people whose wrist size is small like me.
