Fantastic Purchase August 26, 2008 This is my third Ironman Timex watch, the first one went belly up after a long day at the water park going on several rides, but it was over a year old at the time. The second one, the band got cut when I was opening a box with a box cutter and it worked perfectly before then and still works even now, I just cant replace the band. So this is my third watch and so far so good but I wont be wearing it to the water park, I guess the force of the water coming off the rides is more than the watch is able to handle, but they lasted through many lap swimming sessions and use in the water under regular conditions and I never had any trouble. The functions are also easy to use and understand and you dont have to read a novel to figure them out. So I would highly recommend this watch to anyone who needs a good all purpose watch.
Solid Watch August 4, 2008 I do not swim at all so I only use this watch for running, but it's perfect for that. Nothing fancy, but exactly what you need. Hours, minutes and seconds displayed clearly, large "start" button and a light. Stylish and comfortable. Can't beat it for $35!
Makes interval training much easier for me. July 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I needed a timer for my exercise routine, which is based on interval training. My husband lent me his ancient Ironman watch, which was waaay too big for my wrist. Perhaps I could have gotten used to that huge thing clunking around on my wrist, but each time I wanted the interval to restart, I had to stop what I was doing and push buttons to reset the timer. I got tired of that, or else watching the second hand of a clock on the wall. I needed a timer that would restart on its own. I went online and ended up on Amazon. I read the reviews and decided to order this watch. This newer version of the Ironman works for me! I have it set for one-minute intervals. When the minute is up, it chimes for ten seconds, while I switch to the next exercise. It repeats by itself, so I can keep exercising. I have only had it for one week, so I have not had time to play with all the functions. So far, I love this watch! It is comfortable on my wrist. It is a pretty shade of blue. I'm not a girly-girl, but why not have a pretty watch?
Great watch! July 22, 2008 I replaced my older Ironman Timex with this one. I love the new features of multiple alarms and intervals. I use every feature this watch offers on a regular basis. I find the various functions very easy to use compared to similar watches made by other companies. Not only do I use it for training, I use the crono and timer for cooking too! I love updated look of it as well. Great watch!
Timex triathalon watch July 21, 2008 My granddaughter, who is a collegiate runner, loves this watch. It's a great help with her prescribed summer workouts.
