Funny Movie October 3, 2008 I bought this as a present for my boyfriend. He loves The Simpsons and has most of the seasons on DVD. He saw this movie in theaters and loved it, but I had never seen it before. If you are a Simpsons fan you'll love it, and you might like it even if you aren't!
Great Movie!! September 6, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Didn't think it could be done, but Matt Groening has again produced an entertainment gem. Not only is it hilarious, it also has a timely ecological message in it's story. And, just like the television series, it is just as entertaining the 2nd+ time around.
"Oh no. Blowback!!" August 22, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This movie was great. I was bored and it gave me something to do! Most of the laughs were good although there were some empty jokes.
Every character never strayed away from what they usually would act like and the animation was fine.
Homer was the biggest quack but made up for it in the end.
It was nice to see Maggie's parts too!
4 stars.
end note: It's funny. Don't believe anything else!
Not even a good episode August 12, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
With so much debate over older seasons vs. newer seasons, I have to say that I have enjoyed every season much more than I enjoyed this movie. This was not made for die-hard fans, and lacks most of what makes the Simpsons so entertaining.
I won't belabor what others have said, but I will repeat it: Short shrift for the supporting cast, angry Homer not funny Homer, tedious "message" movie, deficit of jokes. Just so very, very disappointing. But it did make money and some people liked it...ugh!
