 Easy to use March 25, 2008
The monitor has been really easy to use. It would be better if it had a long cord so, you wouldn't have to get down to plug level to read it. It it's amazing how much little things cost when you leave them plugged in 24/7.

The product works fine and for the money is a good deal, however, the plastic faceplate on mine fell off (a little scotch tape did the trick)and it would be easier to use if it had a backlight. That being said, it's probably just the glue on this one that went bad on the face plate because the other four of them my company has have had no such problem. The lack of a back light though, makes you need to use a flashlight when you use it in tight quarters or under desks. I'd gladly pay another $5 -$10 if it had a backlight. Good devive though and pretty fast when you use it right. Not hard to learn either.

KILL A WATT EZ This devise is simple to use and does a great job if you are trying to get a handle on electric consumption and operating cost for various appliances, heaters, light sources etc.
Only one minor critism I have is, when plugging the devise into an outlet since it is a 3 prong plug, the position of the wall receptical creates a problem reading the KILL A WATT digital meter because it could be in an upside down, horizontal, or vertical position making it hard to view the readings. My suggestion is to purchase a short pig tail extention which will allow you to read the meter with ease.

you can't begin to control your household energy costs if you don't know what they are. This tool is easy to use and a real eye-opener re: energy consumption. Wish I would have bought it earlier..........

The P4460 functions exactly as advertised. As with any product, I can think of a few possible improvements, but this thing does just fine. I'm actually going to do a slight, temporary modification at my electrical panel so I can check out my furnace, smoke alarms, etc... It's kind of disturbing seeing how much things can run when they're "off" ... like my computerized washer.
