this is one of the best gameing mags out their. it has every thing you could posibly want from a mag. loger aticles for the better games and shorter ones for the games that well dont deserve a longer article. it has humor, from the e-mails and also in the reveiws. its a great mag
The funniest and most informative video game magazine December 6, 2001 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
in fact, even if you don't like video games, this is still a good magazine. it is hilarious and has a bunch of great feature articles. plus, they dont just say things like "this is good for some people, but (the competition) is good for other people" they tell u what is the best system and which are the best games. in short: they actually help u make educated purchases instead of always being positive.
EGM is a fantastic magazine December 5, 2001 21 out of 26 found this review helpful
Electronic Gaming Monthly is my favorite magazine. It has completely unbiased reviews, it gives good and interesting information, and it's organized, unlike some OTHER gaming magazines (...). EGM is often the first magazine to get exclusive news, they have extensive coverage of games, game shows, news in the gaming world, and in every issue have interviews with gaming bigshots. They aren't afraid to tell you which system to buy, like in their XBOX vs GCN feature, they came right out and said "And the winner is: XBOX!! instead of saying "It's a draw!" or something dumb that other magazines would do. They tell you which games are groundbreakingly superb, and which games (...) that should be avoided at all costs. Overall, EGM is a fair, honest, and funny (Hsu and Chan) magazine that should be purchased by anyone considering themselves a gamer.
EGM Mag November 11, 2001 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
EGM is the best gameing mag for previews and reviews. It tells you what games are out there and witch games are the best to buy. EGMs reviews tell you if a game is good or not; unlike Nintendo power witch allways has good things to say about games.
It might be a good idea... November 4, 2001 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a well-rated mag all over the world although it uses some not-so-good methods of evaluating games. But it sure has info about the videogame industry prior to anyone else around such as exclusive interviews with the masterminds behind the projects of unrivaled games such as MGS 2: Sons of Liberty (take the exclusive interview with Hideo Kojima in the last October issue for instance). It's a good mag overall although it just might not fit itslef on the taste of the more sensible-type of players.
