Link Tool December 19, 2007 Make sure to ask for replacement pins...mine broke after removing two links with the link tool.
Instructions leave a lot to be desired.
Watch repair kit October 5, 2007 Product was well made and had all the items needed to repair the watch that needed fixing. I had no idea what I was buying other than the description given on the Amazon web page. I am very pleased with the product, which was send in a very timely and undamaged fashion. Thank you.
Good Value but Ask for Replacement Pins February 15, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
The basic problem with this kit is its most essential piece. The blue plastic link remover does not come with replacement pins. It requires focus to properly align the tool's push pin with the friction-fitted watch band link pin. The novice wll almost certainly bend or snap the push pin at some point. When I called the company for a replacement pin, a representative didn't hesitate to offer it by mail without charge. So, why not include a few in the kit? The kit's long nose pliers are good quality and needed to extract a watch band's dislodged link pin. The tweezers and (six) screwdrivers are useful in some situations, but a small hammer to make flush the replaced link pin is always useful. My kit came with instructions but why not an illustration? The kit's list price of one hundred dollars doesn't add up. A hardware store will sell comparable quality long nose pliers for about ten dollars. Tweezers and a set of jewelry screwdrivers are easily available. The link remover is a specialized tool but it is plastic. At the sale price of $25 this is a fair value, but you will want to ask for a couple of replacement pins with your order.
Does the job February 6, 2007 0 out of 7 found this review helpful
Hey you know what? This did the job .... thats all it matters.
Yah yah all the things were in place and nothing was missing.
Nice instruments but February 6, 2007 The packaging was beautiful and the instruments were high quality. But, there weren't all of the instruments you may need and no directions for the use of the others that came in the package. My husband was dissapointed and as it was a Christmas gift that was upsetting.
