With a sporty, weatherproof blue rubber strap, a water resistance rating to 660 feet, and a screw down crown, this tough stainless steel chronograph is built to go wherever you do. Within the silver dial are Roman numeral hour markers, a date calendar located at the 4, and three round subdials which track 60 second, 30 minute and 1/10 second intervals. The luminous hour and minute hands and blue sweep seconds hand are easily visible through the resilient mineral crystal. A unidirectional rotating steel bezel frames the dial, and Swiss quartz movement adds timekeeping precision.

This chunky 50mm watch is unapologetically over-the-top. The molded, candy-colored band that mimics the pattern of an interlocking metal band is eye-catching. Just as attention-getting is the bright silver unidirectional bezel. On a recent vacation in the Caribbean my blue band quickly caught the attention of retailers in cruise port jewelry stores. The chronograph buttons are over-sized, easy to access, and responsive. The hour markings are the more formal Roman numerals and the hands have an art deco leaf shape. Oddly, it all works. This is not a watch for formal wear. Think of it as a great beach walking watch. Competing with the natural beauty of sea, sand, and sky, this colorful accessory insists on attention. I chose the rich blue band and within a few months got the red, yellow, and white models...just think about the white band with a white pair of summer pants or matching jacket! I have actually seen this watch listed online for $695. At this website's price it is an excellent deal.
