Amazon.com Product Description Movado's signature Museum dial stands out beautifully against a background of all gold-tone polished stainless steel in this elegant watch from Movado's Amorosa collection. It features a round black dial with gold-tone Dauphine hands and a concave dot marker at the twelve o'clock position. This is the minimalist look made famous for Movado by American designer Nathan George Horwitt in 1947. Horwitt intended his design to be evocative of a sun dial, with the dot representing the sun at high noon. The dial is housed in a gold-tone steel case that measures 24mm in diameter, and it is framed by a perfectly round polished steel bezel. It presents on a beautiful gold-tone polished steel bangle bracelet that measures 6.5 inches and fastens with a jewelry clasp. Other notable features include a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and precise Swiss quartz movement. Water-resistant to 30 meters, this watch can withstand splashes and brief immersion in water; however, it is not sufficiently resistant for swimming. About Movado Movado, one of the most celebrated watch brands in the world, traces its origins to the small village of La Chaux-de-faunds, Switzerland where, in 1881, a young watchmaker named Achille Ditesheim hired six assistants and opened a small workshop. He called his company Movado, a word which means, roughly, "always in motion." The company grew and prospered, evolving from a small pocketwatch manufacturer into a leading innovator and designer of precision wristwatches. Throughout its history, Movado has maintained its place at the pinnacle of innovation and excellence in design, craftsmanship and technology. Movado watches are crafted by highly-skilled watchmakers to meet the exacting standards of Swiss time technology. They are accurate to within seconds a year. All Movado watches are sealed and protected against water, moisture and dust, and individually tested to meet strict international standards of quality. A long-time dedicated supporter of the arts, Movado has, itself, been the recipient of over 200 international awards. Movado watches can now be found in the permanent collections of over 20 museums worldwide.

Beautiful watch, no signature August 27, 2008 I echo the previous comments. This is a beautiful watch, very elegant, and the wife loves it. It's a bit big -- we had all of the links taken out, and it still fits a bit loose (though it is a bracelet watch). The price here is great. The warranty card is enclosed in the box, though not signed.
  The item is great, but . . . . . April 6, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The item was duly shipped and exactly as advertised. I am happy with it.
However, the warranty card was not endorsed by Amazon, leaving me with the possibility that Movado's 2-year warranty would not be available to me. Since Amazon's 30-day return policy was exhausted by the shipment's transit time, it appears that I am now be without any warranty whatsoever.
So I sent a query to Amazon almost one week ago - and to date have had no response or acknowledgment. This is making me kind of nervous. I have done quite a bit of business with Amazon, and have developed a measure of confidence in the company - a factor in making this most recent $300 purchase - the largest yet.
The possibility that Amazon may be playing the same "try and find me" game that is true of many online vendors is scary, to say the least. And if true would certainly make me think twice about future purchases from their website, regardless of the value of the item. Even eBay facilitates communication between buyer and seller, something I presumed would be equally true of Amazon. Was I in error?
I truly hope the fears I have expressed are groundless and that this coming week will bring a response and some assurance about the warranty. When (and if!!!) this happens I will be pleased to post a follow-up comment.
And I just had another scary thought . . will this review be processed by a computer with no programmed interest in Amazon's role - even when Amazon is the seller? Well, we'll see.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! January 31, 2008 I have been wanting to buy myself a Movado watch for sometime but didnt want to paid over $500 for it. This is a great looking watch for great price. I'm so happy with my new Movado watch and I dont feel bad about the price.
Movado Magic January 7, 2008 I purchased the Movado Amorosa watch with the gold tone finish for my girlfriend for Christmas. She was delighted with the classy appearance. I was delighted by her reaction, the excellent price and the fast delivery by Amazon. I will not hesitate to purchase additional items of jewelry from Amazon in the future.
