5 out of 5 stars Great Product...   October 26, 2008
The install of this product was very easy (10 mins), and it works/prints very well, from all PC's on my network.

I use it with an HP LaserJet4 Plus.

1 out of 5 stars Doesn't work on Windows Vista or Windows ME, but it does on XP   April 4, 2008

This seems to be a good product, if you are using Windows XP. It worked well on my XP machine on my home network, but wouldn't work on my machines using Windows ME or Windows Vista. I learned this sad fact after spending too much of my time with D-Link Tech Support. Fortunately, Amazon refunded my money and paid for the return freight. After returning the D-Link DP-301P+, I used a Hawking HPS1P Print Server for my Windows Vista and Windows XP machines, and upgraded my ME to XP, which works well. The Hawking HPS1P doesn't support Windows ME either, unless you are willing to downgrade the firmware, which probably won't work for Vista applications.

4 out of 5 stars Poor Installation Guide   March 13, 2008

The installation guide did not include Vista instructions. I could communicate with the device or the internet, but not both. After 2 hours of fiddling with IP addresses and adding/deleting printer drivers over and over, I finally needed to call tech support. They were patient and got to the bottom of the issue. Now the device works. Overall, it seems to be a good product, but the installation guide could use some work.

1 out of 5 stars Bad product plus bad technical support   December 25, 2007
This product and support is better to close shop asap to prevent further loses. The lady support I spoke to was not only limited in knowledge, she was arrogant and not user-friendly. I was feeling real good until I went through this lousy excercise, I have to take my hearth medicine to calm me down.

3 out of 5 stars It worked great, until I fried it   December 22, 2007

The power jack for this print server is exactly the same as the power jack for my HP printer - except that my printer takes 18 volts and the print server takes 5 volts. Just once, when I moved the printer, both power cords fell out. Unfortunately, I swapped them when I plugged them back in. It didn't take me long for me to recognize my mistake, but by then it was too late. The print server hasn't worked since.
