These earrings get a lot of compliments. I have to admit that I was a little surprised by the size and shape of the stone. The picture makes it seem convex, but in actuality it is very flat. The stone is flat and very thin. The back of the stone is not polished, it has a black coating. I think I will get a jeweler's opinion about possibly polishing the back. The size of the dangle part is about 7/8 inch from the bottom of the hook. They are very light and comfortable. The colors are vivid, and they really are pretty. From looking at similar earrings, I think the price is right.
