| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The new Corona Headlamp is one of the brightest and most efficient area lights on the market. It has eight super bright white, shock resistant, and virtually unbreakable wide angle LEDs. User can switch between 8, 5, 3 or 1 LED use - making it a great hands free lighting choice to satisfy all of your outdoor, work and personal lighting needs. An innovative circuit system allows the user to fine-tune and adjust to the desired brightness level on each of the 4 LED output modes, while offering maximum constant light output for the life of the installed batteries. For the perfect fit, a durable nylon head strap provides plenty of adjustment, and the head assembly pivots to allow you to shine light where you need it.

Not a Corona, But Still Plenty Bright September 23, 2008 This is exactly what I expected from this product. A defused area wide type of light not a bright spot light. Is the Corona model as bright or illuminating as the $100 Princeton Tec Apex model? No; I have one of those too. Both of these models are excellent quality products which is what makes them very different from the $20 cheapos on the market. The eight LEDs will provide you a longer time period of light. The defused light does not cause glare off objects in your path that are highly reflective or shiny. Great for reading laminated sectional maps. The Corona will be enough for most people.
Great product! August 31, 2008 I am very happy with my purchase of the Princeton Tec Corona headlamp. I will be using it in an upcoming adventure race. Not only is it bright, but it fits comfortably on my head.
Not As Advertised July 10, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I clicked on "Princeton Tec Corona 8 LED Headlamp" and added it to my shopping cart, but the headlamp that was delivered to me was a cheapo Princeton Tec Scout." Be very careful when ordering. The pictures are very deceptive.
Great light August 20, 2007 Not sure if my last review is going through properly or not -- this is a GREAT light. Super bright, no shadowing. I use 1 LED most of the time when camping -- full power is bright enough to bike by or spot things halfway across the county!
Very bright - Very Useful! February 14, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Did extensive research because a lot of reviews and articles mention that LEDs are still usually not bright enough, or as bright as standard light bulbs.
If you're used to working with a mechanic's light or flash light, this puppy is a gawd's end. Yes, you look like a complete dork but at least you're never in the light's beam thus covering the area you're working on.
Initially, it takes a little getting used to the fact that your work area is always lit -- but after that, all fears and doubts disappear.
