Product Description
The waterproof EOS is optimal for both localized needs and spotting at a distance. The combination of a Luxeon/1 watt LED and the optimized lens/collimator maximizes the beam by balance long throw with flood light. Burn time using full power is 2 hrs constant brightness/6.5 hrs run time; at medium power, 9.5 hrs constant brightness/12.5 hrs run time; at low power, 44.0 hrs constant brightness/60 hrs run time. The center portion of the beam is ridiculously tight and nonadjustable. I am going to rig up a diffuser to make this lamp appropriate for close-up task lighting but one should be integrated.
Kudos to Princeton Tec for making an affordable regulated waterproof 1 watt headlamp, though. Everything else is A-OK.

I bought this headlamp for the waterproofing. After a couple of months, the beam intensity regulation malfunctioned. I have sent 3 mails over a month period to Princeton Tec without receiving a SINGLE response.
 Awesome Headlamp May 14, 2008
This is a terrific headlamp . Bright, white light with a smooth focused beam. I use if for walking in the early morning. It is so much better than any flashlight I've ever used . When fixing things in the house, this is indispensable , keeping your hands free .
The big plus is the light is regulated. That means the light does not start going dim from the moment you start using it.

Excellent headlight. strong white light. the Luxeon LED 1watt is powerful enough for most household tasks that require 2 hands like fixing your computer. I have one in each car for emergencies. the 3 AAA last a long time as I haven't changed them since I purchased this 2 years ago. weather-resistant, swivel to adjust the aim of the light. this is perfect. flashlightreviews.com is where i found out about it.

The ESO headlamp is extremely versatile! I bought one for myself for when I do hand quilting, but have ended up using it as a reading light (I pack it whenever I travel), when the power goes off (it's a great hands-free light), and when doing repairs or painting around the house. I gave one to my husband for Christmas and he LOVES it! Now I'm going to order one for my son who does many handy-man chores around the house.
Using only 2 AAA batteries makes it convenient. It's worth it's weight in gold!!
