Product Description Witty, one-of-a-kind imaginative cupcake designs using candies from the local convenience store.
America's favorite food photography team, responsible for the covers of America's top magazines, shows how to create funny, scary, and sophisticated masterpieces, using a zipper lock bag and common candies and snack items. With these easy-to-follow techniques, even the most kitchen-challenged cooks can
? raise a big-top circus cupcake tier for a kid's birthday ? plant candy vegetables on Oreo earth cupcakes for a garden party ? trot out a line of confectionery "pupcakes" for a dog fancier ? serve sausage and pepperoni pizza cupcakes for April Fool's Day ? bewitch trick-or-treaters with chilly ghost chocolate cupcakes ? create holidays on icing with turkey cupcake place cards, a white cupcake Christmas wreath, and Easter egg cupcakes
No baking skills or fancy pastry equipment is required. Spotting the familiar items in the hundreds of brilliant photos is at least half the fun.

Best random gift ever! December 3, 2008 This was a gift from my Mother-in-law and it has been so much fun! I have always been the kind of mom that tries to make a homemade cake for each of the kids for birthdays. Now the tradition is that they each get to look through the book before their birthday and they pick out what they want. No looking for cake pans anymore! I have found that when friends come over they seem to gravitate to this book and we end up looking through it. It has made some of the non-bakers want to learn. The instructions are very well written and there is a cupcake for almost any occasion. The tips alone are worth getting this book. The adoreable cupcakes are a bonus! If you know anyone that bakes this is the book for them!
Hello, Cupcake December 2, 2008 Love this book! The pictures are great, and all of the instructions are included for everything from how to frost to how to cool and bake. Great book!
Great Book! December 1, 2008 This book is great! There are some awesome ideas in here and they really spell out the directions to make it as easy as possible for the everyday baker to pull it off. I acutally just did the spaghetti & meatballs for Thanksgiving! Everybody got a kick out of them! Nobody even realized they were cupcakes until they got up close! Lots of fun!!!!
A wonderful creative resource! November 29, 2008 I have had the pleasure of meeting both Karen Tack and Alan Richardson at Sur La Table in Manhasset and I have to say this team is wonderful! Karen is such a talent! Her ideas are whimsical and fun and easy to create on your own. Alan's photography makes this book such eye candy you can't help but want to get started right away on your next party! Thanks Karen and Alan for sharing your talent and ideas!
