 Pretty but mismatched stones November 4, 2008
Pretty, delicate earrings. The problem is the stones didn't match. Iolite can be purplish-blue to bluish-purple. Unfortunately what I received was one light blue stone and one light purple stone. Neither was the deep color of the photo. One stone was even slightly larger, but I would have been okay with that had the stone color matched and had been the deeper color. Another reviewer here commented on the same color problem. I was hoping I'd be luckier but no. The earrings arrived in a small pouch, inside of which was a small zipped zip lock bag containing one earring and the other earring loose inside the pouch. Either someone tried to re-match the pair and failed or I received someone's mispackaged return. If not for the color issue I would have rated the earrings a 5 as design-wise they are pretty and I love iolite, but since the color seems to be an issue, I can't recommend them.

These earrings are so delicate and beautiful and the people I gave them to as gifts this Christmas loved them!!

I bought these for my mother, but they are much smaller than they look in the photos, even the ones that show you the ruler. My pair had mismatched stones. One was light and the other dark. I would have kept them if the colors matched, but it's too different to give them as a gift.
I love Amazon, but I am very disappointed in these earrings.
