I've had so-so luck with buying jewelery over the Internet. One thing's for sure--the pieces are always smaller than I think they'll be. This piece is a little, itty-bitty star, around the size of a nickel. It is pretty, though: the colors are a nice combination. What upset me most was the construction. I assume the star-in-a-star should be one piece, but the diamond star in mine was loose from the sapphire outer star. I showed it to my wife, and she didn't think it was a big deal. She just sets one inside the other and sits it on her chest. Any moving around, however, dislodges the inner star, and it can become twisted. Jewelery on-line, other than from high-end stores with excellent reputations (Tiffany's, Cartier, etc.), is hit-or-miss, in my opinion.
