These scissors offer way more cutting power than just about anyone can muster with muscle alone, and best of all, it's effortless. You can't help but love a product that makes life so much easier, especially for folks who suffer from arthritis. You can cut nearly anything with these, from delicate pattern paper to sheet vinyl flooring and window screening, with just the press of a button. Our favorite job for these, though, is to easily slice into that impossible-to-open, hard plastic packaging that seems to be on most everything these days. It's no match for these scissors. When power scissors first came out, there wasn't too much concern about ergonomics, but we know so much more these days about how important that is. Black & Decker's made this power tool a treat for the body to use, with a nice cushy grip, super light weight and no force needed. One charge will keep you cutting for 70 minutes, and then you just plug it in and charge it again.  Scissors will never be the same July 3, 2008
I saw a pair of these in Marshalls for 12.00 the same weekend that I bought some Dynamat 10415 Xtreme Speaker Kit 2 Sheets to go in my car doors and these worked great for cutting that. I have also cut up two cardboard boxes. Great product.

I bought a pair thinking "for this price, I can't lose." Well, I haven't lost yet and I have been buying these suckers for everyone I know! They are the greatest. I have had various electric scissors since they first came out and these are the first ones that really came through! Yay Black & Decker! I highly recommend you buy a pair. You can't beat the price and I guarantee you won't be unhappy with them! I have used them for quilting (they cut through batting like butter!) and I have used them on the awful packaging they come in (wish I had them then!) Ha! Anyway, I have used them on a lot of things and they cut great!

Nice tool, cuts well. If you do a lot of cutting, it's worth every penny. Don't expect it to cut cardboard or Burlap. Paper, film and fine cloth, it works great.

I've used these to cut plastic and they even made it easy to cut aluminum "bubble wrap" in a straight line. Like them!
Great for Many Things June 24, 2008
These scissors work great for many things. I bought two pair on a gold box special. I put one pair in the kitchen gadget drawer, and the other in my tool box. The kitchen scissors are great for lopping off the top of plastic bags of frozen foods, etc. also great for cutting parchment for baking, cardboard for cakes, breaking down cereal boxes for the gargage, recycling and on and on. I use them many times a day. The tool box pair work great for package opening, cutting drop clothes, etc. Just about any dry cutting that involves streaches of thin stock is a snap with these. Yes they work on plastic bubble packs.
