Setting Description
With its pure lines and classic styling, this setting is truly timeless. Two princess-cut diamond side stones, held in four-prong basket settings, provide a beautiful framework for your center diamond. The tapered shoulders of the ring slope down gently from the side stones in a classic cathedral style. The band has a thickness of between 1.7 and 1.9mm and a width of between 2.0 and 2.2mm. The diamonds featured here are of exceptional quality. With a color rating of G-H, they are in the uppermost range of near colorless and appear dazzling white to the eye. They have a clarity of VS2 to SI1, meaning there are very small inclusions that are difficult to see under 10x magnification, and impossible to see with the unaided eye.
Platinum, a metal 35 times rarer than gold, is exceptionally durable and will not wear away over time; this makes it particularly well suited to holding precious gemstones. Because of its purity (platinum is 95% pure), it is hypoallergenic and ideal for people with sensitive skin. Platinum's rich sheen is a fine complement to a diamond's cool sparkle.
A custom jeweler will be able to resize this ring. It is a normal process to then tighten the settings to ensure the stability of your gemstones.
