Since the edges of the princess cuts line up precisely with no major gaps between the stones, the result is pure sparkle from one side of the setting to the other. The channel setting works well for everyday wear as it holds the diamonds flush and secure without sharp edges or points. In profile, the sides of the setting rise up to meet the center diamond in a cathedral style and protect the center stone with an integrated look. The setting tapers very slightly from the center stone and the highly polished band has a subtle groove for accent before rounding away to the back of the finger.
