WARNING! MAKE SURE YOU GET WHAT YOU BOUGHT! August 28, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The card itself is great. It has worked great for my phone for holding music.
I had to buy this card from several different sellers/vendors before I received the correct card. The item description says the card being sold is a Class 4 card. This means that it is rated at a data transfer speed of at least 4 megabytes a second. I bought this card from 2 different sellers that shipped me a Class 2 card. I emailed several other sellers, and they told me that they were only selling Class 2 cards as well.
Class 4 cards are twice as fast as Class 2 cards. If the item description says Class 4, I want to receive a Class 4 card. When you receive your card, look in the corner to see if you were shipped a Class 2 or a Class 4. Many of the sellers told me that SanDisk is now switching to the Class 2, but even if that is true, they shouldn't be selling them in this item listing, as it specifically lists Class 4 in the item description, and it shows in the pictures. A new item listing should be started for Class 2 cards for those sellers who don't have any Class 4 cards.
Buy the Adapter August 27, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Contrary to what faffie says, the product DOES NOT COME WITH AN ADAPTER. I need to go the electronic store now to buy an adapter. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid by reading the reviews and by ordering online. Oh well.
BEST CHOICE!! August 23, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
$24 for 8gigs... WOW!! Plugged right in to my new Treo 800w from Sprint. Now I can load all my programs/music/ringtones/games and still have massive space left. Shipping was fast too.
Works Fine August 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
All is well, 8GB for $30 is awesome. If you can order from Bayside Electronic, he includes the SD adapter as well (says in his extra comments about this product). Had to update drivers on my Gateway laptop to read the SDHC card with it's builtin card reader, but after that works just fine.
what adapter? August 15, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
others have written that it includes an adapter; mine DID NOT come with one but i am still satisfied as this little thing is class 4 fast. have had it for the summer and it is still only half full. as for the bulk packaging -- it means they just send it to you in the holder; no blister packs or shrink wrap, none of that just in an envelope.
