The entire Tekken Universe in one game April 1, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game brought together the characters from earlier games, some characters returned after disappearing. Kunimitsu even makes her appearance, while the game is simple, it still was fun, the tag team feature was a good feature. Every possible character from Tekken 1-3 appears with one new, her name is Unknown. The game itself beared very little challenge, the Tekken Bowl was the only feature of the game I hated. You choose your character and depending on whom you chose, your difficulty either increased or decreased, basically it is just bowling but its timing and patience. The worst character of the game had to be Dr. Bosconovitch, whom kept falling down and was hard to hit. The ending movies were brief but some were funny and some weren't worth it. In the end this game would get a full 5 stars but due to the simplicity, it doesnt need it. The one character I know has been used in every game so far is Yoshimitsu, who even appeared in Soul Calibur 1-3 and I think 4 and Soul Blade. Anyway buy this game if you like a good martial arts game that's simple, but brings a good variety of characters. Ogre and True Ogre are some of the best, Unknown is a doppleganger so her moves differ, but she has the best ending of all.
One of the best fighting games of all time!!! February 2, 2008 This is my favorite fighting game ever! It is extremely fun because you can play with 4 players and be on teams. You also get to tag your partner in and out, hence the title "Tekken Tag". I used to play this game all the time back in the day, and when I pull it out to play, it is still my favortite of all the Tekkens!! Awesome music and locations for fighting! I know the graphics aren't up to par with the games of today but the music is definitely the best of all the Tekkens and also of many other games. If you don't already own this or were living under a rock for the last 10 years, make sure to find it, buy it or rent it and experience the awesomeness of Tekken Tag!!!!
Still the best January 11, 2007 There is a variety of different fighting games, but the Tekken series is unmatched. Tekken Tag is the best in the series. If you like fighting games this is a must have game.
Still the best fighting game after all these years! November 24, 2006 I have an Xbox 360 and have pretty much played every fighting game out there and none of them are as fun as Tekken Tag. Not DOA, Virtua Fighter, or the other Tekkens for that matter. I am tired of all the gimmicks like the multi-levels, destructible environments, and finishing moves. That to me does not make a fighting game fun and is a cover-up for not being able to provide better gameplay. The action, fighting engine, characters, and the move set makes a fighting game great. Tekken Tag has all of that in spades. From the different ground attacks and combos, to the tag combo moves, to the sidestep and all the running attacks and soundtrack, I have never played a fighting game as fun as this. I had the game for years, traded it in and bought it again recently and all I can say is I never should have gotten rid of it in the first place. (I may get a backup copy just in case mine gets scratched up or worn out since it is such an old game and hard to find. It's that serious!) Playing with four people in pair play has provided endless hours of fun for me and my friends! My favorite characters are Law, Paul, King, and Hwoarang. This game has more moves in it and replay value than any other fighting game out there and the graphics are still great even by today's standards. Prettier games like DOA 4 are not as fun, they only look a little better. The graphics alone can not make a game great. Any fighting game fan has played this game already but for anybody that has not, GET THE GAME RIGHT NOW! IT IS A TIMELESS CLASSIC! Enuff said!
