My first game November 21, 2008 This was my first game for the psp, and I am loving it. The controls are great, but the hero controls leave a little to be be desired. I love the space fights, and if they would let you attack every system from the inside it would have been perfect. This game is great, and I would recommend it to anyone. I am an experienced gamer, in case you care.
great game September 1, 2008 I turned 13 this past april and got this game for my PSP. It held my attention for a good week but I really have not played much with it since. But it is a fun game anyway.
Fun Game, Great Graphics, Over Too Soon August 24, 2008 "Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron" is nothing short of a great PSP game. The graphics, music, and game play are all way above average for games on portable systems. The missions are fun and the new customizing options give the player a lot of flexibility when developing their characters.
My only compliant is that the game was fairly short and can be completed in one session. The game can be replayed and supports multi-player modes, so it only loses one star on my rating for this.
Highly recommended!
Great Game, but some faults May 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this game for 5 days now. I agree with the other users in saying that the Campaign mode is extremely short. I finished it max 3 hours. But, for the PSP it is a great game, a good amount of levels, and the customization feature is awesome. The major fault, however, I have is the auto-lock when firing. This makes the game extremely easy on normal. Even on elite mode you mow down 8-10 enemies before dying. It kind of takes the fun out of it because I don't think I've lost a single battle yet, which is annoying because that's what makes games challenging, close hard fought battles. But I guess you can't fault the game entirely for that because of the limited buttons on the PSP itself. Maybe on the next PSP they will have 2 analog sticks, which will allow for much better 1st person shooting games. Also, I have not tried the online multiplayer, but when I do get wireless I'm sure it will be awesome.
An Amazing Game May 2, 2008 A solid game, no doubt. Even if you're not a star wars fan (but even better if you are) it's a spectacular game. The story mode may be rather easy, but the online play is amazing. It gets up to 16 player shoot em up action. The customiztion of your soldier and weapons is a nice touch. There are dozens and dozens of combinations. Once again, a true star wars game that offers hours of entertainment. BUY this for the online play.
