The ring itself is very minimalist and elegant. The setting and cut expose the diamond to a maximum of light and set it off prominently. For this reason 1 carat might seem a bit chunky on petite women. At least I'm still getting used to the size. But for purists who are not interested in intricate ornamentation but simply like the diamond itself to take center stage, it's the right choice.
