These small hoop earrings are crafted from gleaming 14 karat yellow gold and accented with six channel-set amethyst stones. The round, faceted stones line the front of the earring, drawing attention with their rich purple color and pretty sparkle. Viewed from the side, the earrings have a broad surface of polished yellow gold; in back a filigree pattern adds a decorative touch. I tried very hard to stay under $40 for my sister's christmas present until I saw these beautiful earrings. I read all the reviews and was convinced that it was worth the splurge. The amethyst is gorgeous and bright, and the gold settings are highly polished and smooth. I want a pair myself!! I also think they are the right size, not too big, not too small. My sister loves them and appreciates that they are real amethysts.

Nice quality gold earrings. Really impressive for price point. Unsure of quality of stones, but overall they are a good pair of everyday use earrings and get lots of nice comments.

The earrings look just as beautiful as they are pictured. From reading the previous reviews I was hoping they would be small, but I expected the stones to be light in color. I am delighted to find that they are indeed small and the stones have very good coloring. They are a perfect size for everyday wear, should be comfortable to sleep in, and they are quite attractive.

These are exceptional earrings. Great size, can be worn to work, to dinner or just out for the day shopping. Beautiful color to the stones and the setting is unusual in a nice way, the picture doesn't show it, but the back of the hoop has a cut-out design, so the earrings are almost as pretty from the back as from the front.
