Album Description From hair metal stardom to "Behind the Music" melodrama, few bands have rocked as hard and lived as high as L.A.'s famous foursome, Poison. Bret, C.C. and the boys celebrate 20 years of glam-trashed brilliance on the remastered Best of Poison. This must-have set includes all of Poison's biggest hits, including "Unskinny Bop," "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "Talk Dirty To Me," and "Nothin' But A Good Time," plus a cover of Grand Funk Railroad's "We're An American Band."

If you love Poison this is for you December 29, 2008 Not much can be said except that if you love Poison as I do then this album is for you. It has some of their best. I am still waiting to purchase the Poison'd but I know its great as I heard most of it in concert. Poison is great live, and that is what has made them so popular for so long. Love it, love it, love it.
Poison Still Rocks! December 28, 2008 Poison was one of the most famous and successful bands of the late 80s and early 90s. Known for their glam looks and loud rock-and-roll sound, Bret, CC, Bobby, and Rikki delivered high-powered rockers and ballads alike.
This great CD contains an anthology of the songs that made Poison famous. Included in the play list are such favorites as "Talk Dirty to Me", "Nothin But a Good Time", "Fallen Angel", "Unskinny Bop", and "Ride the Wind". Poison was also famous for their ballads, and "I Won't Forget You", "Every Rose Has Its Thorn", and "Something to Believe In" are included on the disc. There are also two remakes: Kiss' "Rock and Roll All Night" and Grand Funk Railroad's "We're an American Band". All of the songs on the CD have been re-mastered so they sound even better. I noticed the improved sound quality immediately after putting the disc in my CD player. My original Poison CDs don't sound nearly as good as the songs on this disc do.
I give this great CD my highest recommendation. I've been a fan of Poison for over 20 years, and its nice to have all of their signature songs on one CD. The music and vocals still sound as good today as they did when the songs were first released. If you like good rock and roll, then listen to this excellent greatest hits CD.
Good starting point December 20, 2008 This cd is amazing It hase all the hit songs on like look what the cat draged in, something to belive in,unskiny bop, fallen angel, every rose and a bunch of other good songs .I bought this cd at wall mart for alot cheaper But it is worth bying do not buy this if you have all the studio cds.it woiuld be a waste for you.but if you dont have any studio cds then by all mean get this cd...

This group is so much fun to listen to and watch! I've been a fan for years, and it's nice to see the guys still sounding so great. This cd had a good selection of their biggest hits.
Great Music EXCEPT for sound quality on last Track July 16, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I agree with what most of the other reviewers have already pointed out. BUT for me a missed opportunity is true here. The last song, a cover of AN AMERICAN BAND, is the poorest of sound quality. It is how they say OF THE MP3 generation; over producted, meaning it's headroom was pushed for LOUDNESS and not quality. This hurts me because it is a great song and Poison does this song excellent! but try turning it up to a loud rock listening level and you will find every distortion available to music violation ever heard. it is painful.. i so much want to hear a clean well produced version of this song! While many of us grew up listing to well made vinyl lps, the recording industry and the MP3 generation have lost an ear for great sound. Many of us out "hear" HERE are pissed off at this trend. And this song could have been a strong piece on an otherwise good cd.
